Sedona Red

After a much needed week of relaxation, sunshine & a plethora of fashion magazines I am back to my busy college student self. While out and about in Sedona last week, Jenna and I did an impromptu photo shoot at a wonderful Mexican inspired outdoor market. While I had no intentions of doing so, my rust colored top and bright red lips mimicked the famous Sedona red rocks. If you are not familiar with this hidden Arizona treasure it is a definite must see. What I loved about this outfit in particular is how a simple t-shirt and jeans can be elevated by a few simple accessories. I hope you all enjoyed your spring "breaks" as much as I did. (However that small taste of what summer will bring is taunting me!)

Ooh Brights!

After one day of rain in Arizona, its back to warm sunshine and spring fever. Needless to say, I've completely checked out of school. I'm not proud of it, but its the truth. All I can think of is ice tea, wedges, lounging by the pool, and of course, fashion. As a long-time devoted lover of color, I am thrilled with the color blocking and brights trend that is so popular right now. This photo just feels so playful and quintessential of summer. Enjoy!

All Buttoned-Up

Shirt: Forever 21, Necklace: Macy's
Jeans: kate spade (most recent splurge, and totally worth it)
Shoes: small boutique in Santa Cruz, CA

I recently got my hands on my mother's Nikon D60 (which she has had for years and still has no idea how to use), so this first outfit post is a test run of the hopefully new and improved photos that will be featured on Indulgent Ambition. Kacy and I traveled to Sedona this past week for a mini-vacation and took advantage of this romantic outside market as the setting for some outfit pictures. Normally I'm all about vivid pigments, but at the moment I'm enjoying some softer colors, like pale pink, periwinkle and mint green. I guess that's my way of embracing spring, although I'm still on the hunt for something yellow.

Spring has Sprung

Spring Fling

Everyone not in Arizona will most likely despise me for welcoming spring in such a cheerful manner, but our temperatures are currently in the 80's and it is glorious. I must preface this post by saying, I have never liked yellow on anything. However, recently I find myself craving this happy, vibrant hue in clothing, accessories and just about anything, which actually proves to be rather inconvenient considering I don't own anything yellow. It looks even more perfect paired with a pale blue, a refreshing drink and some serious sunshine. Consider me converted, hope you are too! And for everyone still waiting out the cold, keep on holding on! It'll be worth it soon!

Brad's Blog!

I just discovered a wonderful tidbit of news that I couldn't wait to share! Brad Goreski, former assistant to the fabulous Rachel Zoe, and now a well known stylist in his own right, has started a blog! Appropriately named Brad's Blog, his first post was on Saturday and he already has over 300 followers. If only it were that easy for the rest of us! I am personally very excited because Brad is adorable, has impeccable taste and recently worked with Deborah Lloyd styling kate spade's fall 2011 presentation- which means I automatically love him. Here is the link to his blog for your viewing pleasure: http://bradgoreski.blogspot.com/
Enjoy!

bride and i

This past weekend I had the honor and privilege of being a bridesmaid for one of my oldest friends. While weddings are filled with many stressful moments they are also filled with endless opportunities to indulge & fantasize. For me, other than the day itself, the best part about weddings is all of the events leading up to the day and all the various outfit opportunities they entail. The bridal luncheon gave me the rare opportunity to wear heels during the day which I fully embraced. I loved mixing the the mens wear inspired black button down with the super feminine floral skirt. I am hoping to have some pictures of the actual wedding up soon. By the way, isn't the bride stunning?
